A vintage late 1930s-1940s bias cut slip dress (originally a nightgown). It has netted lace at the front neckline, a ribbon tie at the front neckline, a waistband with lace pockets, and lace trim around the armholes. The maker's tag reads, "Lady Lynne," and the soft satin fabric is a rayon/silk blend.

Size: small to medium

Bust: best for 36-40" (but see notes on waist measurement below)

Waist: 26" at rest and will stretch to 36" to fit over shoulders/bust (there are no fasteners, so the 36" measurement will need to fit over shoulders/bust)

Hip: max 44" (will drape on smaller because of bias cut, and best if wearer's measurement is 42" or smaller)

Armscye: 11" (this is larger than the average armscye, so I wanted to note it)

Length: 63" (will fall shorter when dress is worn because of bias cut)

Condition: Good. This slip dress has some noticeable flaws. There are a few faint marks on the skirt, as well as dents to the fabric on both the front and back of the skirt. Some of these get lost in the drape, but the dents to the fabric are noticeable when the dress hits certain angles in more direct natural light (I tried to capture the most noticeable dents, which are just below the front waist, in last photo). It's still a lovely piece, and the fabric is a beautiful soft satin, but if you want a dress that presents as perfect, this wouldn't be the right dress.
